help me choose a frame style/size!

First of all I'd like to start saying hey! I wouldn't say I'm new to biking, I spent more time on a bike than not between the age of 5 and 15 but its been almost 10 years since the last time I've been on one now. I'm thinking about getting back into it for transportation, health and entertainment purposes but I'm not exactly sure what type and size of frame to get. I'm 5'11 and 160lbs. Im leaning towards building a freewheel bike I think since I like the simplicity of it without the learning curve of a fixie. It'll be used mostly for transportation around the city but I'd also like to have something that will ride alright on the trails as well! Any suggestions would be great! If anymore information is needed feel free to ask. Thanks!
