Bike fitters in Portland, OR
Can anyone recommend a good bike fitter in Portland, OR? When I lived on the East Coast I had god awful experiences with bike shop employees either not knowing a thing about bike fitting, or employees who didn't care if a bike fit me so long as I bought it.
I have long legs and a short torso. In addition I have a very weird posture. When I stand up straight my stomach sticks out and my shoulders appear to be thrown way back. I'm convinced that others with my height, inseam, arm length, etc would need the handlebars positioned differently than I would because of my weird posture, and I want to find a bike fitter who understands this. Thanks.

Thought you were not looking at race bikes ? Pro fits focus on performance..
high end shops like Bike Gallery would be thinking race bike fit unless you tell them What You Want..
you gone to Community Cycling? they are a recycled refurbished used bike shop.. read the BikePortland.org - Portland Oregon bicycle news, events, culture, travel and opinion.
Or Come out to the Coast , the Astoria shop people [my friends] may instead put you on your bike, on a trainer stand and talk to you..
low on tech , old school discussions ..
Season is slowed down out here now .. plenty of restaurants & Micro breweries for a small town..

Michael Choate at North Lake Physical Therapy. He really helped me with some fit issues and pain I was experiencing. He's a physical therapist, bike fitter and trainer. He quickly helped me figure out how to stay on my bike. Google him and you'll find the website of his office. He's pretty reasonable priced for a bike fit too.
