Got a question...
wth kinda fork is this?? My friend bought the bike complete and the seller told us it was a fu manchu. Me, simply believing a fumanchu was an oversized BMX fork, believed him. I'm puzzled because wouldnt there be a lot more gap between the steerer tube and tire if it were? And what kinda fork looks like that and clears a 32x700c but still cant barspin? (even without bullhorns?)

^ The problem isn't with the fork... it's with the frame. The clearance between the frame and the wheel is too tight with a full-size 700c wheel up front. This is why many riders choose to ride with 650c wheels up front instead. Notice how the fork isn't exactly in the center of the wheel. What this means to you, is that when the wheel is facing backwards, the distance between the fork/axle joint and the outside of the tire is too great to clear the frame.
Possible ways to fix this:
Longer rake
Longer wheelbase
Smaller wheel
On a side note... it kind of puzzles me that fgfs frames don't look more like freestyle 29'er frames. It just seems to me that a fixed 29'er (or something similar with 700c wheels perhaps) would make a lot more sense given that the rider would have a lot more clearance between the saddle and his/her butt. I know with bmx bikes anyway the goal is generally to get the seat as close to the rear tire as possible and still retain stiffness.

anyone feel like recommending a fgfs frame, and a fork that is drilled for a brake? new to this, don't know what all is out there. sorry if this is off topic, thanks for any suggestions

Thanks its a great bike to ride!
The gear ratios dont have to be this low and have seen plenty of people with track cranks and small chainrings. Just all depends on where you are and how you ride. I tired to set mine up as BMX as possible.
