State bicycle Massacre..

Looking at getting a fgfs in the future. What's your opinions on the Massacre bike..??

How about a link or something? This a staggeringly low effort thread. I don't know crap about this bike, but i could probably offer an opinion if i had more than a name. I'm sure not going to google it.

Well, as I've learned in the other two threads in this subforum, there aren't a lot of companies making complete SSFG bikes other than state (to paraphrase Scrod), and the state offerings look solid.

I would be curious to find out what other bikes have the same frame (albeit under different branding) because I doubt if state had their druthers, they'd include the cantilever brake bosses.

Doubt you'll find anything better for the money new, but the scene seems to be centered on your coast, so there may be a shop within an hour drive's radius that might be worth checking out to see if you can land something second hand.

I company where I live makes SSFG bikes that are much more affordable. I see their bikes all over town, and one guy who I know that has one is happy with it:

Roughly how much would it be to build your own fgfs bike? I've never built a bike so I'm pretty unfamilar with building one myself, so this is why I'm curious.

To build your own is pretty expensive but it's worth it. I wouldn't buy that state because it doesn't have a mid bottom bracket or even list the a2c on the fork. You should look for a v1 volume thrasher complete if anything, there's a still a few sites that have them for cheap I think.

Oh and 1 of the best complete start builds is the eightinch butcher. Great bike it's really solid all the components are good I rode one before.
