Getting an EighthInch Butcher, but need help with sizing
I am looking into getting an EighthInch Butcher complete as my second fixed gear (I currently ride a Mercier Kilo TT thats a 60cm). Here's a link to my PedalRoom
for it. I have read that for a FGFS bike people go smaller than with a track frame. So I was thinking of going for the 56cm Butcher. Any ideas if this sounds right? Here is the geometry for the Kilo TT and the Butcher. |
If you're going to be doing tricks, 56; for just bombing around I'd go 59.
The smaller will be easier to swing a leg over when tailwhipping, more clearance between your junk when jumping; and generally feel more nimble. |
Just realized that they don't have them as completes on the ws-outlet site any more.
Any other complete FGFS bikes worth checking out? |
Specialized P.Fix and SE Primetime. Most FGFS bikes are built up from framesets.

Bombtrack Divide is sick, 1 of the only 700c completes around. Also can go to wiggle and get a charge scissor 2013 complete.

I'll really just be bombing around on this bike (maybe wheelies, but no tricking beyond that), so I may go the route of getting a complete Fixed/SS 700C bike with room for bigger tires and swap in a bmx stem and risers. I think I may still go for a smaller size frame so that I can ride in a more upright position though. |
For bombtrack completes contact 3 brothers bike shop in Los Angelos.
