    Wink Need help!

Gents and ladies. I have a 10 speed that I'm trying to convert to a true fixie. Im not sure what my next step should be.

    1. Can i just buy a set of fixed gear hubs and bypass a conversion kit?
    2. If not, should i just buy a new frame rather than using a conversion kit.

Im sure this question has been asked multiple times before, so i thank you for your help.

    Fixed Gear Conversions

This should be of some help.
and...you might want to post in the singlespeed and fixed gear forum.
This forum gets very little traffic.

I have never built a fixed gear bike, but I will in the future soon. If you are trying to do it on the cheap, yea just buy a rear wheel with a fixed hub. I am sure you can get one for around 50 bucks. I think sometimes there is a problem lining up the hub and the crank so it is very straight, you can probably get advice from the bike shop you buy the wheel from.
