The Big Apple's should be fine. I do prefer the Big Ben's myself though,... The answer I'll give you is: the final decision is up to you.

OK. I've also sent an email to Schwalbe, and there's another thread in the ebike forum. I'll wait a bit more before making a decision.

OK, I'm out. The indecisiveness is too much. Asking in another section of the forum, ebike or not, is just wasting another thread. Good luck,...

Just go with the standard 50mm wide Big Apples. 50 or 60 mm wide will make little difference.

Hi,
I'm looking for the cheapest way to add suspension to my 20 inch folding bike. This is my bike:
As you can see, the place where the seatpost enters the bikeframe (not sure what it's called) is low, like on dahon and tern frames, which is a problem because I cannot find a suspension seatpost that's long enough (the one I got with the bike is 450mm, and I have it fully extended).
I already replaced the saddle and it helped a lot, but I could use a bit more suspension. The tires are 1.5 inches wide and the rims only allow for tires up to 1.75 inches wide, and since it's an ebike I don't want to deal with replacing the rims as well (rebuilding the wheel with the hub motor is expensive).
Is there a way to extend the seatpost? How about an entirely different solution (that you might know about...)?

I could not ride a folding bike that didn't have suspension. All my Dahons have either an inexensive suspension seat post or a Brooks Champion Flyer. I'm surprised the Flyer wasnt mentioned here because these saddles were made in the days when most roads were cobble stone. They work even better now that most roads are paved with asphalt.

I plan on ordering some Big Ben's soon myself. I have Schwalbe Marathon Supreme tires on my new Tern Joe P24. They're excellent, but I want the same cushion on this that I have on my Gravity SS 29er.

What I meant is that I also ride them for fun, often without the battery. I ride them with my dog (easiest way to make him tired), and I also ride to wherever I want, usually without the intention of getting somewhere, but rather to just enjoy the weather. Oh and I am addicted to speed, and I have a few favorite places where there are steep declines and almost no traffic at all.
