    Folding bike newbie: SOLVED

Hello Folding Bike Forumers: I just bought my first folder. It's a Giant fd600. After some searching on the Web, I think that it might be called a Halfway, but I'm not sure. It's definitely an older bike. Measuring the diameter of just the wheel it's 12". The problem that I'm having is that I can't figure out how to lock the bike in place once it's folded down so that it doesn't keep unfolding when I pick it up. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

The Halfway model page on the NYCEWheels site has this line describing a strap that should do what you are asking:

The Halfway folds down quickly and includes an attached strap stowed below the rack to hold the bike in its folded position for times when you're on the go: whether you're carrying the folded Halfway on and off of the train, up some stairs, or onto your office's elevator.

Does your bike have such a strap? If not, it sounds like a trip to the hardware store for a Velcro strap might solve the problem.

That's it exactly! Could you post the link where you found it? Thanks to @shortlegcyclist I found the newest Hallways and found my answer. Not the answer I wanted, but at least I know now. that I need to lash it together.
