Floods in York.
On a recent run just before floods.

I went through a recently broken river bank stream to see if a women could walk her dog that way. It was deeper than it looked but OK a MBT. I then found the river had burst it's banks on to the cycle path a little further on. Which was now literally a stream. So now trapped between two flooded areas both getting deeper.
I did a U turn and told the dog walker it was a no go.
Floods occur several time time year in York. Usually not an issue. TV news tended to show usual flooding areas that look dramatic, but cause no problems in a city engineered to deal with flooding.

Real issue was the floss gate in north of city failing due to electrics and the unusual flooding of huntington road areas.

Wish all well and hope victims get back to normal asap.

It will be a while before the lakes that have formed were fields are dry out.
Mainly road cycling for me at moment. My recent bout of I'll health seems to ending.
