Squeaking Strida Brakes
So the front brake on my new Strida is squeaky as all get out, sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard...I figured the pads/drum were glazed, so I disassembled, used some steel wool on the braking surfaces, it worked OK without squeaking for a little while, then the noise came back...Strida will rent you a tool to surface the brake pads - (1) do I need to do this? and (2) why don't they do this themselves before they assemble and ship the bike?
Oh yeah, after using it myself all week, I adjusted the Strida for my wife and we went for a ride on Sunday. She likes it better than her 'big' bike! Yeah! Now I need to order up a matching Strida for myself, looks like we'll be doing some biking in Europe this fall after all! |
I guess the lack of response means I should just rent the brake 'skimming' tool from Strida. :)
