Carbon Seatpost issues?

Finish line makes a Carbon fiber lube that works on seatposts to keep them from slipping...

It is easy to over stress carbon seatposts. This stuff helps a lot.

Not withstanding the unsolicited product endorsement, it's not logical to call this product a lube. "Traction paste" might be more appropriate.

In any case, a number of makers offer various forms of CF assembly (traction) paste.

With folding bikes; sometimes you want the post to easily slide down.
When folding your bike for example. Other times, you want the seatpost
not to slip. When riding for example. Not too many OEM offer carbon post.
But plenty of aftermarket ones. Anybody got good long term results/performance?

Just do it up tight and spray some hairspray on the post, enough to drip down into the clasp.

Job done. My carbon post doesn't slip.
