Dahon Boardwalk vs Mariner

Other than $30 and the color, is there any difference between those two bikes? I've looked over the spec sheets several times and can't find a reason for any price difference.

Doesn't the Mariner have a rack?

I think the Mariner is supposed to be somewhat more rust resistant.

That's what I had thought at first too, fenders and a rack, but the boardwalk is just pictured without them on Dahon's site. The spec sheet says that it comes with them.

Seems likely, and there is a little disclaimer at the bottom of the page on the Mariner clarifying that it is rust resistant not rust proof. I guess I just keep wanting to see it stated somewhere on their site "this bike is *blank* which is the reason for the slightly higher price". I guess if rust resistance is all it is I'll stick with the boardwalk. If I get one I doubt it will ever see a salted road, and the nearest body of saltwater is about 1000 miles away.... then again it will see rain... gah. Decisions, decisions.

I believe the Mariner is Stainless steel. Also it may be particulary suitable for travel to a Professional baseball game in Seattle. :)

Going to be a pretty long trip from Indiana, but if that's what you've got to ride to see the Mariners then what choice do I have. ;)

No, no real difference except the rust resistant chain and finish. Mariner has much nicer looking finish and I think worth the extra $30.
