Bianchi Folding Bicycle

I'm considering purchasing this bike. What do you fellow forum members think of it? Any clue how much I should offer?

What exactly do you want it for? If it is like a hobby and you will be restauring it and having fun customzing it, go for it. If the idea is to actually save money and have a reliable folder, I would go with a new or used-but-not-that-old model.

I, personally, wouldn't offer more than US$40.00 since to make it semi-reliable you will spend at least another 100.00

But that's just MY US$0.02, you definately don't have to agree with me.

Yeh i have to agree, i wouldn't spend too much cash on this one. It is not bad by the looks of it but not great either. Unless you got money to put for lots of components or really enjoy restoring for the sake of restoring i wouldn't go for it. Doesn't look like a very stiff or sturdy frame. There are better newer frames and bikes to be had for not too much money with some luck.

They usually sell for over $100 on Ebay. I think it's more because of the Bianchi name than being a great bike. I've considered buying one and painting it Celeste with the old logo Bianchi decals in red. It would be a nice "run to the corner store" bike...
