New Strida only shop in Amsterdam

Hi guys

You may be interested to know that there is now a Strida only shop in Amsterdam, it's the only one in the Universe! They have the new modified frame III's there (there's a small roller just behind the back pulley which stops the belt from jumping even when the belt is not too tight.
They supply Stridas with TomTom Go navigation fitted, I had my Strida III upgraded to spoke wheels with chrome hubs.
They are about to get coloured Stridas (Gold or Red) & are investigating a gear system for Stridas too.
They seemed very busy and said that they'd sold heaps since they opened in January.

Chop,

Is it as portable as it looks? What about the saddle - can that be removed quickly for a neater fold? Also, how do you usually carry yours - on your back or over your shoulder?

Thanks

Hi Shilun, no the seat does not come off, but that's not a problem, you don't really carry it, as when it is folded it rolls very easily on it's wheels, yes, it's very light!

The Dutch are always ahead of the pack of nations when it comes to bicycle trends and different bike styles.

Edit: Woops i posted in the wrong thread, this is suppossed to be in the thread where you link to your A - Z list:

Excellent effort Chop! As soon as i update my site i will definately link to your list, there are a few other lists floating about of folder brands. Often with reviews and often tons and tons of URLs, these list are sometimes very complete and also highlight some obscure, some great as well as some horrid folders (which is a good thing for a uninformed buyer). Might want to incorporate or link to these lists:

http://www.atob.org.uk/Buyers'_Guide.html

http://www.nordicgroup.us/fold/

The comparison chart below may be a bit biased but is informative none the less:

http://www.pertrans.com/folding-bike-comparison.htm

Gaerlan should prob. get honorable mention as their site is very infomative on a few folders too:

http://www.gaerlan.bizland.com/

Thanks again for making the list, very handy for newbies.

V.
