Just wondering if anyone out there knows the thorusa.com site, has purchased anything from them, and can confirm that they're legit. There isn't a lot of info on the site, and I'm wary about giving a stranger my credit card number. Thanks!

Sure I've heard of it. It is run by a member her "Brakemeister". His name is Thor(sen) and is a nice guy. They are based out of Illinois.

Never did business with him, but he has been around for a while and I never heard anything negative about him or his business.

I would buy stuff from him without a problem.

I bought a seatpost from 'our' Thor,payed with Paypal and received it after 7 days (I live in Europe), it was safely packed and I even got a small 'ThorUSA-sticker' with it, which is now on my bike:p

He's (Thor) been helpful to me through this forum and the Dahonforum, so yes I would/will buy from him again!

BTW: I had small accident with my Jetstream last Saturday. When I came back from my ride around noon, I wanted to get some gear out of my car and rode on my bike through the parking lot. Now, parking lots have these concrete floors, and can be very slippery when they are wet.......So I rode through he parking lot and making a quick right turn.....and BANG! I was on the ground, my head smacked into the concrete floor (I wasn't wearing a helmet), felt a stinging pain just above my right eye: my eyebrow was cut and a with a terrible headache I got up my feet again, checked my bike (I think it's OK) and only then saw the blood that was all over my T-shirt. I called my girlfriend asking to come over saying I had this little problem (I didn't want to tell her I crashed and create a panic), she took me to a very good doctor. I had a concussion and my eyebrow was stitched (4 stitches only).
I am OK now, besides some muscle-pain.
I hope to be back on my bike on Saturday, WITH A HELMET this time.

Thor's extremely reliable... I've dealt with him many times cross-country mail order.. never a problem and always good service... just a further note, he is having a 'March Madness' sale and among other items is giving away Schwalbe tubes with each tire purchase... I know, as I just received some of the new Marathon Racers!
