Yeah folding bikes

Can anyone offer opinions based on experience about Yeah folding bikes? Yeah is a Dahon affiliate and license their frame technology.

Camping World

An e-mail from Dahon to me said that Camping World (https://www.campingworld.com) is the only U.S. distributor for Yeah bikes. It looks like their bikes are high tensile steel rather than aluminum or cro-moly steel.

Yeah Bikes are actually the older models that Dahon had a few years ago and moved away from. Cheap they are but I think you are better off sticking with even the simple Boardwalk S1 or the lower priced models offered by Dahon.

I can get one for cheap (fire sale); the Dahon and Yeah web sites seem to indicate that the frames look almost identical. Componentry I accept will be lower, but for that price i don't care; however, if the frame is dodgy, then it's money wasted. I suppose I should have stated it clearly. The bike in question has a similar frame as the Dahon Helios P7.

Actually, looking at the Yeah frame again, it seems identical to the Helios frame, unlike the pictures above. Like a rebranded Dahon.

Sooooo, the question is, is the Helios frame a good one**********

Pay attention to the frame material too. If you get a steel bike, Yeah is still using Hi-ten steel, while Dahon has moved to chromoly for everything except the Sweet Pea. If you get an aluminum frame, I'm less sure of the comparative quality, but I'd expect that Dahon would use a higher grade of tubing there too. I could be wrong.
