Bike Fridays are the coolest. I would love to have one, but I don't have the cash. I would only use a folding bike for travel too, which I don't do a lot of. Thanks for posting this though. I'm sure someone will take advantage of the deals.

Do you have a case for any of yours, and do you take that touring? If you do, what's it like?

The NWT or maybe the Pocket Llama seem like they would make wonderful touring bikes, but I've been wondering about the practicality of pulling a suitcase behind you.

Your seeing these sales because we are about to go into a recession right after New Years. I'm getting so many catalogs this year, retailers are desperate for sales. Period

Those pre-owned Bike Fridays are over priced and that discount shows you the extent of the markup. I laugh when they list used bikes costing $1,700 or more! At that price, you're better off buying new.

    So sad, but true.

However, they're still good when it comes to tandems! Awesome machines!

It's not just Bike Friday itself. Look at the Ebay prices that people want to sell them for. They've been told that Bike Fridays have high resale values, so the starting bids or reserves tend to be quite high. And of course, Ebay sellers are generally selling as is, with no returns. At least Bike Friday is offering a warranty on their used bikes, and I believe they have the same money back guarantee if you change your mind within a month.

But yes, the used BFs generally seem overpriced to me, too.
You're right, I do have more bikes than I need.
