    SLINGSHOT Folding Bike Frame

This is a performance mountain bike that happens to have a folding feature. There is a review at http://www.bikesthatfold.com/content/view/21/

I was wondering has anybody any experience with Slingshot bikes and the folding mechanism?

Looks like a variation, and possibly an improvement, on the Montague system.
2000 Montague CX, I do not recommend it, but still ride it.
Strida 3, I recommend it for rides < 10mi wo steep hills.
2006 Rowbike 720 Sport, I recommend it as an exercise bike.
    1996 Birdy, Recommend.
    Wieleder CARiBIKE (folding), decent frame.

Slingshot has been making similar bikes for a long time, although this is the first that is "foldable." It's actually nothing like the Montague system, as it uses a cable for a downtube,

I also believe that SlingShot has been making that design longer than Montague, as I remember them when I first got into biking in 1988. God Bless

Montague started in the early to mid-80s (appeared in a 1983? Bicycling! magazine, I think), Slingshot was mid to late-80s AFAIR
