How a Strida 5 differs from a Strida 3
 
These are the differences that I've noticed so far :--
Freewheel's better now that it's on the back wheel, less drag, so it goes much further on freeweel.

Tried it up some steepish hills in Nottingham & no Belt jump or BB flex (my 3.2 always jumped the belt as it had no pinch roller on the back pulley)

BB has a snail-cam which adjusts the belt tension by means of a screw under the BB

Disk Brakes are superb

Standard tyres are Kenda 65 psi

Another addition is spring loaded buttons on the handlebars which you push in to locate them into the steering head before you tighten the over-centre catch

And there are ergonomic grips fitted

One free mudflap

And finally it came with free tiny LED lights (the type which you attach with elastic)

Hmm.... my Strida 3.2 came with a pinch-roller at the rear, little spring-loaded buttons on the handlebars, 65 psi Kendas, and fenders installed.

But rear freewheel and crank adjustment cam sound like good upgrades. Anything else you've noticed?

Thanks for the mini-review. Is there any change on geometry eg handlebar position, steering feel and (for tall folk) knee clearance - (this is just OK on my Strida3) ?. And finally what is the cost difference between Strida 3 and 5 ?

So it appears that the folding handlebar & pinch roller set-up are the same on the 3.2(a) & the 5. (the early 3.2s didn't have either) The 3.3 is with metal wheels & the above mods.
Geometry has stayed the same but I have found that fitting a sprung saddle moves the seat back 3 or 4 inches & transforms the ride.
There are also Japanese Stridas that have had an extra seat rail & clamp added then a sport seat clamped into that, moving the seat upwards and back.
Rear frewheels makes hell of a difference, lot less drag! ;)
