the downtube is at $399 and the yeah bike is at $349. if anyone have own or any experience with one of these bike please chimp in.

Preliminary thoughts about that Yeah:

1. Looks to be the same handlebar post as the S1. If so, then they become squeaky if you pull back on them even though they're not aluminum. Yeah's post also does not seem to be adjustable, so no fore or aft or up or down adjustment; in other words, you may hate the seating position.

2. Short seatpost indicates you can't adjust it for taller riders. You also can't collapse it very far because it would hit the suspension spring.

3. I like steel bikes, but to me there is a world of difference between good cromo and hi-ten steel. In terms of weight, my 20" Bike Friday is surprisingly light to carry around, as opposed to my hi-ten S1 (most likely what that Yeah probably is) which is very noticeably heavier although I've stripped down the S1 as much as I can.

yeah, youre right on all those points, downtube still looks like the winner. i like the look much better. still searching for something around $300-$400 that will match the downtube fs. feel free to post any full suspension folders in the range.

We check out both these bikes and the specks on the 9fs carried more rider weight so that should figure to be a stronger bike by far. And at 28# is not bad to carry / fit in bay of our fifth wheel as we are fulltime RVer's. We just purchased two 9FS from the downtube.com site for $319 each. And are waiting for their arrival.

you could have saved yourself like at least $50 or up to $100 if you got them off ebay. Yan would not appreciate me saying this though . only the pink color fs are on ebay now, what about black and white. if you bought them for 319 each on downtube.com you bought the 2007 IX FS. Yan is limiting the number of bikes he puts on ebay.

Downtube all the way without a moment of hesitation. That Yeah looks more like it should be made by Huffy.

Like how they fudged the foto to make it look like you could slide the seat all the way down. In the first pic the seat post is longer than the tube, but there is no post below the tube with the seat fully collapsed.
