Eurobike: Minimax carbon folder

From VeloVision:

"Minimax carbon folder
I hadn't seen this carbon 20"-wheeled Minimax folder before. It's from Hasa Bike in Taiwan, and looks pretty nice."

I wonder how strong that rear fork is. There is no supporting strut like the Dahon Mu has. Puts a lot of stress on the joint where it joins the main tube.

They do have additional support now

19lb weight and 250lb max load. Very impressive.

They also have a titanium version

Are these bikes available in the US?

Edit: the alloy versions are available here http://www.cyclingdealusa.com/category-s/113.htm The $350 8 spd looks like a Nova challenger with a less upright position and tiltable saddle.

Chipping the clear coat is going to drive owners nuts, if they do use it as a folder would be used,
and it gets banged around..

[OT] I'd love to have that Cannondale concept folding bike shown on the same Velo Vision webpage. It's equipped with an one-sided SRAM i9 hub for mono-fork! There's also a "medium-wheel-size" Pedersen. Cool stuff. [/OT]

My son and I have Minimax 2. Pretty good quality built. Didn't want to get a Dahon because it's the best price for a 18 speed. Good welds, fast unfolding with safety lock. Folding is 'ok' because the safety lock (in the form of a pin) need to be pressed in order to unfold, take some getting used to. Pretty 'stiff' bike (coming from a roadie background :-) ).
