To keep your right pants cuff from getting greasy on the chain.

We got just one like the top one with each bike - looks like you received a different one for each day of the week!

I found them a bit weak though. I purchased one that Velcros closed.

That rolly spring strip is a pants clip, to keep them out of the chain. Put the color of your choice aroind the coil for visibility.
