Raleigh Twenty progress report

So I've stripped the frame, cleaned all the parts.
Sand it down (torturous), and painted it flat black.

Right now, I'm going to put a pair of CHEAP bmx wheel with coaster brake on there.Singlespeed, brakeless.

My original plan was to run a suicide hub, but decided to save up until I can get a real track hub.
I understand that the R-20 have a unique front and rear hub spacing.
So, what kinda track hubs should I be looking at for the best fit?

Thanks
K

120mm OLN at the back will be fine. Mine has a black miche 120mm hub at the back which fitted great, though I had to file a small amount from the bottom of the dropouts for the round axle (only about 1mm) as the Raleigh dropouts are designed to house a non-rotational SA axle with flattened sides so that it can't turn in the frame.

Can't remember the front right now and am away from my bike for a while. Measure between the fork dropouts and that is your size give or take 3mm each way. You may find it's fine to keep the original front hub - just take it apart, cleaning it and regreasing it may prolong it's life hugely if the ball bearings are ok and haven't been chewing up the ballrun. Even the ballbearings should be easy to replace if need be.

If you do go for a different modern wheel.
The lock nuts may be really thick....as thick as wheel nuts.
Might get away with changing them for the really thin ones.

The fork ends or drop outs would probably need filling
As theres a sort of key hole shape. File them so its the same thickness of slot.
