Go to 'reply to Thread' in Red on the right of posts and below the message area is 'Additional Options', one of which is Attach File'. In 'Manage Attachment' is the option to 'Upload from Computer" - Now 'Choose File' and navigate to the file on your hard-drive. It's as..erm easy as that.

Is it the earthly portal of the Roman God of cheap folding bikes - Apollo!
Or the nifty Greek God Dahonysos Helios.

Nigel,

Another computer dinosaur here,
It is easy to follow your instructions, but.....when I do, the thing tells me my pics are too big, so how do I reduce them down to 100kb or less?
Sorry for being such a dumb ass

You need some sort of photo editor. Microsoft Photo Editor, or maybe the software that came with your camera. Most likely that software will have the option to resize the image. In Microsoft Photo Editor it's in the image tab. So Image>resize. A window will pop up and allow you to change the size of the image. It may be in pixels, or inches, or just a percentage scale factor. I Microsoft Photo Editor I just use the scale factor. As a rule of thumb for how much to scale it down, If OS is the original size in KB, then

100*sqrt(100/OS) will give you the percentage scale factor to apply. It won't be perfect, but it will put you in the ball park.

Steve,

do you use windows, mac os, linux?

If windows:

https://www.irfanview.com/

load your file into irfanview & save to your local disc as a jpeg using a reduced percentage - check it's < 100k, then upload it to BF :-)

If you use OS X:

https://xtralean.com/IWDownload.html

"imagewell" will do similar.

Well, if that's you, I'm just glad you're safely contained behind a flimsy fence!

(Surely you're heavier than the recommended maximum weight for even a Raleigh 20?)
