wanted some advice on purchase

hi,

i am new to these forums.

i am hoping to purchase a folding bike to help with my commute to work.

i have found this one on ebay, but i have never heard of the make, and i can't seem to find anything about it either.

so if people could let me know if this is ok? should there be things to look for to make sure that i'm not getting a dud ?

here is the link to the bike

many thanks for your time in helping me with this problem.

Avoid, spend a bit more and buy something decent. Every component will be built down to the price (if that). On eBay there are plenty of second-hand Dahons (got mine there), Bromptons, the odd Birdy. A good bike- even a second-hand or low-end one- will put a smile on your face. My old hybrid that I use for the commute was £169 or so seven years ago from an LBS, still going strong after 7,000 miles plus. That bicycle-shaped object will not last half as well. The suspension won't be worth the bother (fat tyres are all you need for road use on a 26"), it's heavy (my hybrid's heavier, but never mind!)....

Leu,

For the best advice, I would describe your commute (multi-modal?), your performance expectations from a bicycle, and your budget.
