Slowly, but surely growing the fold....

So I started 2008 with just my Tikit as the sole folding bike in my circle of friends and acquaintances. By March we were up to 3 folders. Not bad - 200% growth... My goal for 2008 is getting 2 or 3 more folders into the mix. I already have the brother of my co-worker interested as he has had 2 bikes stolen from outside his office [bad neighbourhood] and he doesn't drive.

I'd be totally stoked if I could get a picture of 10 folders on a Sunday AM coffee ride...

My direct network of friends are up to 5 folders in 3 years. If we could have a Downtube bike (with a Downtube price) that would fit luggage without disassembly, that number would be 20+.

Maybe when the UFB becomes US$300.00 all my friends will have folders.

My tally: None. All the cycling people I have met are roadie crazy. And the others are... well, the others.

I got my wife started on folders. She keeps thinking up places to ride where a folding bike would be useful.

I have four friends with folders. Two of them were the ones that started me down the folding path!

A few buds have joined the fold after a few discussions.

Speedo ... what is the eagle/bird for next to the red star?

A Sheldon Brown tribute. It's Igor, the eagle from his helmet.

See: One star, two stars, red stars, blue stars for how to get yours!
