Fun with a folding bike, OR "how to earn nerd points"
Wanted to get to new york city, a destination several miles from inter-urban bus or train.
Leaving from a location in Philadelphia several miles from inter-urban bus or train.
Round trip.
Not very interested in waiting for Philly public transit, paying for parking+gas, New York subways....
Now how ever would I get where I'm going?
Why, riding an old folding bike and wearing a bright orange reflective vest, of course. And in between bike rides, a ride on the Chinatown bus for only $20 round trip.
Tons of fun, and very dorky, just how I like it.

The real nerd would be equipped with a point and shoot digital camera and have it available on a Mac-based website for our delight...
Are you a nerd?

hmm.... maybe not. Maybe I'm a dork.
Not sure, really.
I'm not a Mac nerd, that's for sure. Posting from a PC, and not a particularly big fan of cameras. (I don't own one and turned down the offer to borrow my sweetie's camera, since I can't lose what I never touched in the first place)

I think, actually, cerewa may well be a geek. The disdain for cameras and simultaneous preference for reflective vests suggests as much.
The old folding bike part of it just means you're a very cool geek.
