I will take some pix tomorrow. The only con I can think of this bike is any1 who is over 6' will have a problem with it since the length between the handlebar and seat is kinda close. But since I'm under 6', I'm good to go. The rear brake is kinda weird, it is build-in into the rear wheel, like a bunch of spindles...kind of hard to explain it. I guess u guys know what I'm talking about tomorrow.

Also I need some bungee cords...where can I get some cheap bungee cords? In my lbs or $.99 store or thift shop or what?

Lalato 09-19-08 08:34 PM

You can find cheap bungees at hardware stores, sporting good stores, lbs... heck you can even find them at pharmacies. The problem comes when you just want to buy a single bungee. Sometimes you can only get a set of them.

not sure..that's y i'm taking a some pix for u guys tomorrow and u can tell me if those parts are standard or propriety. but the 16" wheel should be easy to replace if i ever got a flatten tires. i think it is 16" x 1.5" or 1.75"...not sure. defintely not 2" tires....if i get the big apple 2" tires...would u think it would fit with the fenders?

vincentnyc 09-20-08 09:57 AM

from this pix...what do you guys think the quality of this bike? how much u think it is worth? it is one speed and no coaster brakes (meaning if you spin backward...there is no brakes). and the pix with the rear wheel that in a spindles...any1 ever seen this? the rear brakes doesnt't stop that quick compare tot he front brake. what about the parts...if i ever need to replace a part...which part are standard and which one are proprietory? beside...what part do you really need to replace anyway? isn't tires the only part on a bike that you need to replace any1...what other parts should i be concern about?

vincentnyc 09-20-08 10:07 AM

one more thing about the seat of this bike...that was the highest i can adjust the sit and the handlebar is a fix height. if i want to buy a higher seating post and put it on this bike...is this possible?

ps - this bike said it is made in china...i guess the quality must sux then..huh? lol....does any1 know all the well known bike like dahon, bike friday, strida, brompton etc. are made in china also?

vincentnyc 09-20-08 10:32 AM

and here is the clamp lock in the rear wheel:

Lalato 09-20-08 01:06 PM

Bike Friday is made in the US. Brompton is made in the UK. Most other bikes are either made in Taiwan or China.

^^^ so dahon is made from china also? can any1 answer my other questions above?

alos...the sign that said oakley is a clear plastic which i can easily peel off...does any1 know where i can buy/made an easy clear plastic sticker with the sign "oil is for sissies." where can i buy it or how can i make a clear plastic sign to stick it on the bike?

vincentnyc 09-20-08 05:12 PM

man after a day of riding...my palm is stiff and sore....if i buy one of those ergon grip or whatever the hell the name it is...1st question:

1. is it able to change my handle of my existing bike?
2. does it really make a difference since the ergon grip is gel like? will it really help after long ride?

vincentnyc 09-21-08 10:42 AM

no1 can answer any of my other questions above?

anyway..i found out that the my rear brake is called the disc brakes....what is the pros and cons of a disc brakes vs your standard padded brakes?

vincentnyc 09-21-08 07:00 PM

i already test rode to my home to my office this weekend...tomrrow is my first commute with this folding bike...will see if i'm my building management will let me carry the bike in. i ask the security guard last time and he said no problem. i won't have a bag...i know 100% if i hid it in a big black bag...but as of now i dont have a bag. will see.

ps i also save me $4/day if i dont take the train and folding commute only take me 5-10 minutes longer on the train. also i wont be pack in a sardine and will have a nice scenic view of the east river!
