Folding bike saddle suggestions

Hey guys, Im enjoying my new Tikit here, but ive been considering swapping out the stock seat for something different. What are you guys sitting on while riding your folder and why? I keep hearing the name Brooks saddles dropped everywhere, but Ive never seen or riddin one. what are your suggestions?

Im currently riding with the stock flat bar, so i guess the majority of my weight is on the seat and my seat and handle bars are nearly equal in height, though i stand up to absorb shock over all the pot holes and bumps here in the city.

Look forward to seeing what sort of seat yall park your rears on!

Brooks saddles!! People either love them, or hate them. There is no in between.

I personally have a Brooks Team Pro on all my bikes including my Pocket-Rocket.

The saddle can be hard at first, but in time they break in to fit your butt and become very comfy. Some cannot get past the break in period. The leather does require more attention and care than their synthetic counterparts.

You may want to look at something like the B17, which is Brooks' most popular model. If the bumps are getting to you, then look at the champion flyer, which is a B17 on a sprung frame. If you prefer narrower saddles, then there are many more models to look at such as the team pro or the swift.

The first thing anyone changes on a new bike is the saddle, and with good reason. Bicycle companies choose which saddles to put on their bikes for one of two reasons: to lower the weight or to lower the cost. Comfort is a lesser consideration. Whichever saddle you choose, make sure it is wide enough. It should be wide enough that your pelvic bones support you, rather than the soft tissue in between.
Here are a couple of worthwhile articles on the subject by Sheldon Brown:

I have a Brooks B17 on my bike.

And for good reason - price. The saddles only differ in minor details in the leather top, the bottom supporting structure is where most of the difference lies. Some are painted black, some are chromed, others are copper plated and the most dear ones are titanium.

The price differences do not reflect at all the cost differences - the less bought ones are frightfully expensive for not a lot more. So go for the B17. Or if you want narrow, the B17N.
