Thought I'd share my latest addition to my Dahon Curve, the KLICKfix frame adaptor I got from Thor. It is the longer one with better clearance. I wanted to use my Ultimate 5 Classic handlebar bag on more than one bike (the Ortlieb bracket only works properly on my mountain bike's handlebar, and not on the Dahon's) so this was a godsend.





I also bought the New KLICKfix caddy horizontal mount that can be attached to the handlepost or the seatpost. I attached it on the seatpost of my MU P24 and the Ortlieb sits nicely there too, under my butt.

That looks a splendid set up there Mr Brown. Is that the three speed curve or the expensive one? I really admire the little curves. I'd quite like a red one.

Thank you! It's the D3, 3-speed one. I wish I could afford the SL. SLs are a little hard to find these days too.

Curves are so versatile. My wife and I took 2 Curves last week to Bali, so pleasant to ride the bikes in Ubud. Some of the hilly bits were a bit too much for the 3-speeds so we just walked up those slopes haha.

I like having the option of using the handlebar bag in front or mount full-sized panniers on the modded rack. Or both haha.

Oh - but Bali sounds like a good idea to me at this time of year. I just got in from a 12 mile ride in minus 6 degrees C. It's so cold my oil lubed SA has started to drag a little in top gear. I should have used winter grade oil the last time I topped it up.

The Curve D3 can be had at some surprisingly good prices here in the UK if you can accept the 2007 model. I'm glad you like it. Some people seem to have had chainline troubles and even difficulties with maintaining the chain tension I have heard.

2007 STurmey hub ...... 2008 Sram hub seems the Sram hub also has solved the few chainline problems from earlier models. The SA hub had a huge cover on the outside which I always seem to be able to kick off ... works fine without the plastic cover .... SA hub has more problems to slide forward and out of whack ...not a big problem but bigger than with the sram hub...

08 Curve SL had the internal 9 speed nexus hub which is a truly gem of a piece of bike engineering, especially the redband version, but it was also quite a bit heavier than the 09 Current Capreo version.
A better choice for the Curve SL as it makes the SL version quite a bit lighter
