Tools with a new Brompton?

Hi,

Yesterday my wife and I were becoming the proud owners of new Brompton Regis folders, model 2008 however. The bikes were already unpacked. I have a few questions: both bikes were delivered with Brooks saddles, but no saddle maintenance kit (Proofide) was included, secondly there were no tools delivered with the bikes. Is that normal or are these things simply "forgotten" by the vendor ?

Hi Hugo, congrats to your bikes, it would be nice to see some pics of them someday :-)
I think its normal...at least I have never heard or read (like for example in the yahoo group brompton talk) of included tools or Proofide - and did not get any myself either when I got my brompton. Also I am pretty sure it would be mentioned on the brompton website if it were the standard?

This guy talks about it when doing the lubrication of his new Brompton. It must be a nice gesture of his vendor then:

I found his series of Youtube video's very interesting!

Nice bikes

Hello Hugo,

So I presume you got yourself two 6 speed Brommies?
That are great small bikes.
When I bought mine, 6 years ago, they came with the foamy saddle. IMO ugly and uncomfortably. The Brooks saddles look good on the Brommies, although I prefer a different saddle, better for my butt.
You might already know, but there is a Brompton Yahoo group. Full of information, know how and social blah blah...

Wish you both many miles on the Bromptons,

Jos
