Yeahbike.com Problem - Promised Refund for Undelivered Goods Not Given

Hi all...

Just some advice needed... I bought a birdy last year - originally I tried to get the bike from Yeahbike.com but I cancelled the order right afterwards and got a monoque frame Birdy which i love. They promised me a refund and my end of year review shows me that I didn't get it.

Anyone have any insight into how I can reach these guys to get this refunded. I am not sure that I can reverse this any more with my credit card company and I foolishly didnt do this earlier becuase they promised to refund the charge. Calls to the phone number are not returned and I would really prefer not to spend some of the money on a lawyer (tho I will if necessary).

So now, I am out 1750 and cant get them to respond.... is this a scam house? anyone have contact information that works?

Much appreciated.

I would call your credit card company first. See what they say. Make sure that you have whatever paperwork/emails handy and ready to FAX/email copies to them immediately.

I would call my credit card company and discuss it with them. You did your part, you tried to resolved it with the vendor but they did not refund you so the credit company is the next logical step.

so you ordered a Yeah bike and than changed the order to a Birdy ...... The yeah bikes are low end real affordable and the Birdy is more like an rolls Royce ... how does a 1750 dlr credit can come from cancelling a paid Yeah bike ( or did you order 10 ) ?

I would think tha you paid for your birdy and the yeahbike was never charged ..... but I can be wrong of course ....

Yeahbike sells/sold Birdy as well as Strida, and Yeahbike.. I see very similar auctions (popcorn makers and Stridas) continue on ebay under a different screen name, so it's possible to get some satisfaction that way.. but if too much time has elapsed from the time of purchase until now, getting a credit card company to refund your money could be tough.. I just went through the same thing on a purchase that was charged out, never delivered, lots of promises over months and then no call backs... the credit card company would not reverse the charge regardless of what 'communications' I had to show ... good luck with your adventure ..

yeah I know that they might be from the same seller..... I am wondering how the 1750 dlr comes to live .... as one would have to buy a handfull of Yeahbikes..... Or if the poster thinks that the Birdy was the same price as the yeahbike and now is stunned that it has costs a lot more....

I thought that he/she bought one Birdy but then decided on a Mono-Birdy.

Hate to say it, but that's why I always play hard ball.

If I don't have my goods by the day the credit card bill is due then I file a dispute immediately; no exceptions. I simply tell the credit card company that I didn't receive the merchandise and refuse to pay. Then it's the merchant's problem to get their money. Sometimes I end up getting stuff for free this way because the merchant is too lazy to call me to sort it out, but I guess it's better them than me.

Too bad thor doesn't sell Birdy's. He's top notch and would never have to deal with one of my credit card disputes. :)
