Hammerhead and Smooth Hound in suitcase?

I own a Downtube NS 20"folder and it requires extensive disassembly to fit in an airline legal suitcase, as I thought all 20" folders do.. Today after extensive looking for years and many forum questions I notice they claim both Dahon Hammerhead and Smooth Hound would fit in just by folding. The question is are the folded sizes listed legit? Has anyone been able to just fold in a airline 62" max suitcase? I assume at least fenders and racks would need to be removed, though they show the Smooth Hound with fenders.

As an owner of a DT mini, a 20" and an HH7 I can't see how the last two would fit, and esp the the HH7 which nonetheless is the most gorgeous bicycle ever manufactured in the history of humankind. In fact, whether or not it could fit in a case it would be a crime to put it there. I would buy mine a club class seat while I sat in steerage. Or stayed at home. It needs the holiday more than me, after all.

Edit: But maybe yours is an HH8, which might fit in a case, but then so would the mona lisa....

It depends... does the HH/SH break apart? The Asian model does, I think the late US one didn't. None of them folds.
