Mezzo had more options for good QR rear racks and the size is much bigger than what the brompton can take.
Most bromie owner just use the very good front bag system as it does not need to be removed to half fold.
The brompton rack is only about 60% of the size of the mezzo ,presumably to keep folded size down to minimum.
Its mainly there to wheel the bike when folded, but can be utlitiled for touring or extra loads.
I use a karabeana under my saddle rails to carry unexpected shopping or extra loads on my mezzo.
There is an after market bag system for the rear rack on the mezzo in the mezzo threads with loads of options (can't find post at moment).

This is my latest handlebar mod. I cut about 30mm off the bottom of the original Mezzo stem to get the handlebars to sit lower. I added a Satori stem, flat bars and mountain bike bar ends. So far this is the best set I have had on the Mezzo, the Satori stem gives me the forward reach I was looking for and lower bars and bar ends give a more aerodynamic riding position for cruising. I have retained the qr clamp mod on the mezzo stem as this allows adjustment of the Satori stem and also for the bars to be rotated and keep the fold as compact as possible.

So I've been riding the M10 everyday and one of the things I'm not too crazy about is the stock saddle. It's OK, but over a few hours is not that awesome. Locally, I've only been able to find Brooks saddles. I've read that once you break them, they are quite comfortable, but I'm not so sure how it looks on this particular bike. Opinions?

I have heard good things about Charge Spoon saddles but not actually tried one myself.

What are options for getting Mezzo / Ori accessories here in the US? I've tried contacting some places in UK and they either kill you on shipping or are not willing to ship at all. I can't even find any Ori dealer willing to sell to end user in US. I am interested in some kind of rack bag. Would a BikeForum member in the correct geography be willing to buy and ship?

Shame there is lack of supply of Ori products to the rest of the world.

Me and Cpq meet up recently...after about a year of trying.
I had a go on his mezzo off road around clumber park for about 25 miles through wet peddles mud gravel and wet leaves on slick tyres. I would have been very nervous on my aero /bullbars, but Cpq bike handled remarkably well. Mean while he seemed happyier on my big apple shoud birdie.

Came to thw conclusion that this is the optimum set up for straight bars for a mezzo. Cpq summed it up well that it is remarkable what these bikes can do.

My go faster mezzo was just a curiosity as it had developed a sudden sticky shifter cable.
Took a photo of 2/3 of the world's known dualdrive mezzo. Funny they are were born in Nottingham.

The Birdy was great apart from the fact that it dint have mud guards fitted. A few months before, I rode the Mezzo down a bridleway that was far rougher than I expected but it handled the punishment well and the Kojaks held up too.

How does the QR can hold this quill with that uneven dia? Are you able to lift the bike by handle bar?

The QR is not the only thing that is holding this adjustable stem. Notice that this is a "quill" style stem, so there is a wedge bolt that is used. Check out this picture below which should explain it if you don't know what a wedge bolt is.

Also, I decided not to use this stem, as it's simply too long for me. I need to find something like this, but shorter if I wast to use bullhorn bars. If I use a flat bar, I might go back to this Satori-ST adjustable quill stem.

What do you want to improve about it.
Best option is tyres, an a better IGH like an afline nexus to get more speeds. It is possible but To add a drailler or even dual drive, but you LL need a drailler hanger.
Santi stem extender works well to get a sporty position with a mezzo. Just add a Quick release.

Else upgrade brake pads and cheapest upgrade swop out rear brake cable for a Teflon linked one to reduce friction. Make sure long enough. I usually order a tandem one for 50p more.

I have read your threads up and down and a lot of brilliant ideas. I want to start off small. I have 3 folders already a day in my do with shimano nexus 8 a dahon curve with 3 speed S.A. and a halfords carrera with 8 speed derailleur. I like the nexus hub. For the i4 the price would warrant a nexus 7 probably maximum. The mezzo is a gold one no scratches and I don't want to alter it too much. For a start would changing the rear cog from 18t to 16t make much difference?

Feels spooky. Today I got my mezzo out of the shed for the first time in 14 months, and this thread springs to life.

FWIW, I've just paid an exorbitant amount of money to ATB via my LBS for new fork and skewer for my D9. So they are definitely still supporting the bike.
