greenbicycle.com Not Working -- Need Colin's Story
Jur, (and the Folder gang),
Can you tell your buddy / neighbor Colin Martin that the links within his site are not working?
https://www.greenbicycle.com/
Or does anyone have a copy of Colin Martin's journal of his Moulton ride across America? Or the new across Australia ride?
I was wanting to share his most inspiring story with a new friend. Now I'm crushed that I can't read it either.
Cheers,
Bob Gruber

Bob,
I failed to notice the "Website under construction". I checked his source code and there is no active links to any of his reports.

Have you tried the Wayback Machine for that site (I haven't)?

I think I found one of Mr Martin's other sites and sent a message. I've really got the hankering for a good read of a trans-America ride. One as well written as Colin's version.

I'm thrilled to see that Colin has joned the folding forum AND started an Alex Moulton thread. He as indicated he'll have greenbicycle back in shape in the near future.
It struck me as GREAT OF IRONY, to see "newbie" next to his handle, greenbicycle, in our forums.
Welcome Colin, glad to have another great leader in the forums. I'm looking forward to following your new AM thread.

It's a great period journal. That guy was tough. He only took a revolver, a makintosh coat, a bedroll and a spare shirt. He doesn't mention underpants or stuff like that - who needs it - LOL. He seems to have had to walk about half the way since there were few roads - at least in the parts I've read so far which deal with his journey across America. He keeps coming across Prairie Schooners and non English speaking settlers, not to mention mountain lions and such.
