i just put on disc brakes on my downtube.
well its just for the front. its pretty simple installation, just plug and play. there's no place to mount the disc on the back so i just put disc on the front for now. i think it looks much nice with the disc. I haven't tested them out yet. Its still cold and snow left on the ground so I need to wait a bit longer.
does anyone know where to get the wheels for the back that i can mount disc brakes on. something inexpensive and look nice like the standard aluminum finish. i dont think i can custom make one, i guess it looks too time consuming. *Yan should consider making them standard on his future bikes maybe.
the bolts that use to hold the standard brakes, which i try to take off but its too tight, i just worried i might break it so i leave it there, to take them off do i just turn them counterclockwise??

they are about $100 for the front and rear. these are like the interloc racing design calipers with dual piston movements, so both pads move inward to grab the disc. The one i have are made by Winzip. They seem to grab really good but i have yet to test it out.
