Pacific Cycles IF MODE

Anyone here in the forum heard about Pacific Cycles new folding bike? The bike looks really cool in the picture but the price......way beyond my budget.

It's okay. You're always welcome to post anything about folding bikes here. I've just wanted to show you more information and discussions about IF mode.

Designed for blue ocean, marketed to green ocean (as in money, not as environment).

I think that there is a big gap between the designers' utopia and the real world (see for example the case of Strida).

IF is cool, but ON incorporates a SRAM iMotion9 hub. That's cooler. Hope Cannondale carries through on their commitment to production.

I think the IF design looks better overall, but that monostayed internal hub sure would be nice to have.

I'd bet that the Cannondale won't be exactly cheap.

With Cannondale's announcement that they will end US frame production, I now doubt the ON will be produced, but who knows? Maybe lower Taiwanese production costs will be the thing that causes the ON to finally get to the marketplace.

Anyway, the IF is pricey as well. For bang/buck & value, try the Dahon Cadenza.

I think this bike is awsome.
i read somewhere it is aimed at getting rich car drivers to try a cool looking folding bike. Their other full sized bikes are worth a look too IF Cross / Urban which are less money and use standard parts, including 700c wheels.
