Spezi 2009

Here are some pics from this year's Spezi (Specialised Bike Show, Germersheim, Germany) trip, on my bus we had :-3 x Airnimal, 2 x Birdy red, 2 x GoBike, 1 x Strida 3, 1 x Strida 5, 1 x Challenge folding trike, 1 x Tactic Panache, 1 x Halfway, 1 x Linear folding recumbent, 7 x Brompton & my Long-John.

I like this recumbent. Looks pretty compact for a recumbent. What is it? Does it fold?

The bike in question is my friend Paul Cottle's Giant Halfway which was designed by Mike Burrows.

There were many folding trikes & recumbents, but this leaning Tripendo trike doesn't fold

Is it my eyes, or has it got open forks? IE only one fork blade and one chainstay. I remember there was a trend for open fork bikes in the late 90s (?) Does it come out of that.

Or is it just my eyes?

No, your eyes aren't deceiving you, they made several different versions, some with twin sided rear frame, I believe. But never owned one so I may be wrong.
