clipless road pedals

Does anyone use standard clipless road pedals on their folder? I have an extra set of Look KEO pedals at home and am thinking about giving it a shot.

I'm using eggbeaters & lov'n them.
Not using road-shoes, but adidas El Moro Mtb shoe, which are walkable & work perfect for me.

+1 for the egg beaters. Love mine!

I've gone for Power Grips on my Xootr Swift so that I can use any shoes to ride in and don't need to take a change of footwear with me if I transport the bike in the car. They work very well and have solved all my painful feet problems that SPD pedals have given me over the years.

I had a set of Keos on my Brompton for a little while, but then I realised that there wasn't much point having a folding bike if I needed to carry a change of shoes. I use SPDs now.

SPDs work fine, although I could always switch them out if space is so much at premium that I've got no room for shoes.

I've spent more than I care for while settling down on clipless pedals:

I now favor speedplay frogs: http://www.speedplay.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=home.frog
The cleat has a low profile making it easy to wear as only shoes ( i.e. walking around while touring ) and I don't get sore knees any more as there is lots of sideways float - unlike SPDs.
The click-in engagement is better as it just slides in effortlessly compared to a positive stamp down required with eggbeaters and ATACS.

Depends if you want a removable or folding pedal, such as for a Brompton. If so, then your choices are MKS or Powergrip. I ride MKS Ezy MM Cube on one of my Bromptons. The cleat does protrude unfortunately, but I usually combine with Shimano MT90 which has a deep tread so almost no protrusion.

Carrying an extra pair of shoes in no prob. for me as I'll just store them in my desk. I was more wondering how the geometry/fit would be affected by using clipless road pedals.

Thanks for all the responses, the info has been helpful!

They will work fine, I've done it before several times.

The only adjustment that might be needed is to raise the seat a few mm to compensate for the "taller" pedals.
