16.5 pound Tikit Hyperfold
Note the lack of pedals in the picture with the scale display.
Wow. It's a single speed. Could be done with the track end version without tensioner.
Definitely one of my favorites. Anybode knows the frame only weight? |
pedals or not, 16.5 pounds is still pretty good. I know I wouldn't mind shaving some weight off of my Tikit. It's not the easiest thing to carry up and down the "L" platforms during rush hour.

From my calculation of all the super light parts, the frame seems to be very heavy, probably around 5kg including fork, seatpost and handlepost (that is approx 2,5 kg more than some non-folding minibikes weight in or ~1,5kg heavier than a BF Pocket Rocket Pro)
OMG clavicular crank and schomlke bar on tikit ! Those two parts cost more than $3,000 AFAIK!
Wow that's a nice looking one & at 16.5 lbs?! Speechless...
Unless I'm seeing a different link, that one has both pedals and gears.

Bike Friday also makes titanium custom fitted handleposts in a curve shape. They are much lighter and stiffer than telescoping ones. Aren't these available for the Tikit?
