What is a resonable price to sell a 2008 Dahon Mu P8 for?

I figured I would see what the consensus was on this. I am selling my 2008 Dahon Mu P8 (the color is "Cloud") in about a month or so and was wondering what a fair asking price would be for the bike. The bike has all stock parts and has fenders and a back rack. I purchased this bike new in April of 2008. There are no major blemishes on the bike (it is a little dirty). I paid a little over $700 for it. Is $400.00 too much to ask for this bike? As a side note, if anyone is interested in purchasing this bike just let me know. I attached an imperfect picture of the bike (Brooks saddle is not included...)

Take care and thanks in advance,

BD6675

PS: I meant reasonable not "resonable"

I'd ask $500 if it's clean and running well, no major scratches, etc. I looked at them when selecting a folder and thought it was a sweet bike.

It is hard to say, the credit crunch is not going to help. I have a brand new, never ridden Dahon MU SL (£1,076 worth) that I offered up on here at £650... that is a saving of £426, but it is still unsold.

I also put it up on the Dahon forum, 105 views and not the slightest hint of an offer or interest.
I'm going to try e-bay once I get back from Germany.

I’d try for I’d try for $375 and then drop it a bit.

Well for around what your asking for it I would actually be willing to buy this from you. Maybe a pm is now in order so we can further discuss this.

I'd maybe be interested in that, though I notice I can get a MU XL with 8-speed nexus hub for £495, so it depends. I'm a commercial artist, and have some work in the pipeline that may or may not pay me a lot of money - that kind of determines which bike I choose next. I won;t know for a month, though. I notice you live in Cheshire. I'm in Stockport, so pick up would be okay.

BTW, where are you going in Germany. Are you cycling? My friend and I have been a few times, to the Black Forest and from Berlin to Dresden, and I would rate it as one of the best cycling countries, with a culture that is (blessedly) undiscovered by most English. We plan on going down the Mosel this september, and doing it on folders. There are some hills that will need conquering. What's the gearing like on your MU?

I live in Wirral but work in Liverpool. I am familiar with Stockport as I sometimes go to the Cheshire Gun Room (I am a firearms & shotgun owner). My Sister lives in Germany near Gelsenkirchen and we are going to see Laura Pusini in concert https://www.laurapausini.com/laura_pausini_eng.html and then I am going to the Hamm Reptile Show https://www.terraristikahamm.de/index.php#main just to see what venomous species I might like to buy for work (I manage the largest venomous snake collection in the UK ).
I hope to get out and do some cycling with my Brother in law as he owns some high end mountain bikes. There are some really nice trails through the forest.

I did get a Brompton...I wanted something with less gears and a smaller fold-up footprint.

I'll PM you when I know how much I make from my work, and see if you've still got the bike.

All the best, and have a good time.
