Park Tool PCS-11 mini review
Here in Oki we have a popular local on line classified ad thing which is free and I frequently check the bike section for deals.
Couple days ago I came upon a Park Tool PCS-11 work stand. For the most part on a regular bike I can make do with those cheap V shaped stands that slip over the wheel hubs for routine maintenance such as cleaning.
But yesterday I was stripping a bike and working on a folding hinge and subsequently rebuilding everything.
The work stand was in a word INVALUABLE. It clamped the top tube of the folding bike without pinching the shifter or rear brake cables.
I repositioned the bike a dozen times or more to get the optimum ergonomics to suit me rather than bending over or stretching. Moving and adjustment of the stand was remarkable easy and secure.
Fold down and storage size is impressive as well. Overall weight is advertised at 14 pounds but it's very sturdy and seems strong beyond it's advertised weight.
If you don't have a good maintenance stand, get one. I realize now I've been floundering for a year or two since getting back into bicycles.
While I see a good stand useful for any bike it's even more so useful for a folding bike especially when working on the bike hinge even if it's just for cleaning or lubricating.

I'll pop a pic of it later. I paid $170 for it. A brand new one on Amazon costs $160 or so but I'd have to pay shipping as well.
I'm almost positive I could have gotten it for $150 but the guy who sold it to me made a special trip to my office and showed me how to set it up and everything.
No way I'm going to try to bargain with the guy while he went to all that trouble over $20 or so. He advertised it for $175 but I got it for $170 because that's all we could work out with the change we had on hand.

Very nice. A little pricey, but definitely worth it if you plan on working on your fleet of bikes.

Not sure it was pricey or not. Best price I saw was Amazon at $159 By the time I pay shipping (and I always pay shipping on Amazon because I have an FPO address) I'm more than $170.
And the stand is right here, and right now. The guys ad said he'd take offers but like I said he delivered the thing to me. I felt like it was in bad taste for him to deliver it, give me a demonstration and then for me to go "I'll give you $150 for it."
