Brompton folding bikes have a rear simple rubber cone suspension system. I (as well as some other users) do combine a sprung saddle with it for maximum bumps & vibration dampening effect. While it is a rather subjective opinion, I really like this combo system. It works well for me.

What's your plan? You can buy front shocks. Thusbuster seatpost, or sprung saddle.
2000 Montague CX, I do not recommend it, but still ride it.
Strida 3, I recommend it for rides < 10mi wo steep hills.
2006 Rowbike 720 Sport, I recommend it as an exercise bike.
1996 Birdy, Recommend.
Wieleder CARiBIKE (folding), decent frame.
