I'm not allowed because Merc's are persona-non-grata at such events
Even if the forks, seat-tube, rear triangle, stem, tensioner, clamps and fixings are all genuine articles.

ya boo!

I would like to have a go at that, but I would not want to comply with their stupid dress code. I might own a Brompton but the only time I will ever wear a suit and tie is for funerals. Business suits are oppressive, pretentious and totally impracticable for modern living.

My khaki combats and safari shirts have never posed a problem and I get to meet a lot of Royals, Government Ministers and VIPís

The dress code isn't that strict, judging by the pics I've seen......
What hacks me off, just a little, is that it's only open to Bromptons. I'd be happy to enter even if (as a non-Brompton rider) they said 'you can't win a prize'...not like I'd win anyway!

I dream of entering one day soon - with Brompton, suit, tie, and crumpets.
