New chainring guard on Speed P8

Normally when something of mine on a bike breaks and I take in for replacement I generally expect the same part to be installed.

Got a call from the bike shop that my chainring guard that broke off while riding last week was ready.

When I went in and saw it I had a moment of pause however this chainring guard is MUCH more acceptable to me.

John,
Looks good. Is that made of metal or plastic?

The guard itself is a thick plastic. Much better than what was on there and it looks a lot less cheap in my opinion.

All in all this Speed P8 may be my favorite bike. It's certainly my workhorse, but I keep putting stuff on it and it's getting to be a heavy tank but that's okay. The more of a tank it is the better in shape I get mashing away at it.
