Brompton (folding bike) safety issue
I'll pass on a link from Brompton (UK) re a known issue of their handlebars. This only affects older Bromptons.

This is actually old news.
I don't know why Brompton hasn't gone to a flat bar like Dahon. It's a sit up and prey position that's not very comfortable. For a $1000.00 dollar 3 speed folding bike, you would expect better quality. Still. I'm glad they rectified the problem.

This may be old news to you guys, but a Brompton dealer close by (in 's-Hertogenbosch, a large city here in Holland) was unaware of the recall. He told me he would call me back the next day ... nothing.
I faxed the Dutch distributor ... nothing, no response. I called Brompton in the UK, gave them my frame number and they will send me something via the post. I only learned about last week. I was never notified by anyone.
