UK’s Brompton Sets Up American Subsidiary

http://www.bicycleretailer.com/news/...tail/3039.html

Brompton is in the process of improving it's relationship to it's dealers over here. This is due simply for the "....American dealers who loved our brand and our products yet ultimately could not bring themselves to stock them because they felt cast adrift without in-country support, even though we actually place very few demands on dealers in the sense that we only ask they stock two bikes, plus a demo model.....”-Bicycle Retailer

IMO I think it will reflect back on better service-for dealers & both past and present customers. Perhaps better pricing, selection, and more locations offering Bromptons nearer to more people (one can only hope!) if we are lucky when this is up and running. I have never brought out my own Brompton without someone who notices it and really is interested in buying one for him/herself. What puts them off is the presently available dealers being so far away from them to try one out and service them later. I see a huge improvement for this problem-if this guy is really for improving communication between Brompton, North American Dealers, and the Customer and not to just line his pockets.

Brompton Sets Up Subsidiary in USA - well sorta

And I got chewed out for not checking out previous post here when someone else does not even read page 1? Well, it does not matter much as I already have the information stored where I want it. And I realize how volunteers are treated and underappreciated as this just concluded charity event proves:

Hey Folder Fanatic, could you point out where you were chewed out? I just saw EastBiker pointing the fact out, rather nicely I might add, there there was already a post about this topic. That way people can see the extra information that was posted. You should consider it a favour so that you get to learn more about the topic as well.

Regarding your comments about using this forum as a way to store information to your own website, I hope that's not really what you meant. There are many more efficient technologies available for that.

And I'm pretty sure that pretty much everybody on this forum volunteers their own time as well ...

No persecution intended, just pointing out the fact that the same topic was still on page one when you posted your version. You seem to repost stuff frequently, which is against proper etiquette, and when reminded you always say that you don't have time to read the other posts here and that you want to post it so that they will have a "place of honor" in your website. It seems that you do have a selfish motive, and perhaps it would do well if you read the posts in this forum before you create a new thread. Sorry dude, just keeping it real.

Perhaps you are not as familiar with me as you think. Obviously you have not been keeping track of my activities just on this forum. 1. I am not a "dude." My birth certificate states that I am female. 2. I don't have much time for Internet activities anymore as my physical presence is required elsewhere such as a job to pay bills, running a household, design products for the home and wardrobe for others, taking full time care of my elderly mother, and seeing to my significant other's needs. I have to squeeze time in for cycling now since there is only 24 hours in a day last time I checked. This means my completely volunteer (up to now) activities of coordinating several forums I visit plus the Website series I have been updating since 2006 has less attention than I like. 3. For very important cycling events in Southern California, I do quickly post it on the Southern California forum and alert interested members who live here via private mail of it's existence.

My bosses do not like the present attitude of this particular forum and think I am wasting my time here. My mother, even my friends and co-workers, thinks I am being taken advantage of here. My honey simply wants all of me now. So how am I going to solve this dilemma? Simply by going ahead with my "selfish" new Website. I still am being stopped on the street and being questioned about one of my folders. I tried to tell them about this forum, but many potential visitors seem to be put off by having to register and be "social." I decided to continue to salvage my old Geocities flagship Website and finish updating and moving it over to Google before Geocities closes down in October. I require no registration or other information gathering facts to read it in it's entire form. As for a good read, don't miss my old-created in April 2009!-home sewed bags posts until then. This is a good example of another reason why I have to keep my own sites. The interesting posts seem to get buried really fast here.

I do apologized that I am not "perfect" and tend to do too much at one time as most modern women have to do now. But as for my motives, I will let my e-trail speak for itself.

Sorry, you seemed like a dude to me. It may be best not to overthink and worry about things and just live life happily without cynicism. Oh, and don't forget not to repost again. Thanks!
