Ouch, no more riding for 6 weeks!

I was riding off road (motorcycle) on Sunday afternoon....
Came off and landed heavily on my right shoulder.... at first I thought I was OK. Left it as I expected the pain to wear off. Managed OK at work yesterday using my left hand. By this morning it was still very sore so I went across to A&E... X-ray confirmed a nasty fracture of my collar bone:(

So not much fun for me for the next month or so at least I’ve got a nice comfortable sling that coordinates rather well with my khaki gear ;)

Ouch is right. Hope you recover quickly!

That is the weirdest thing I have the exact same injury only I hit a nasty pothole on a Brooklyn street on my way to work and fractured my left clavicle as well 2 weeks this coming Thursday. I Hit the pothole and then my chain bounced off of the chainring , I lost control and then my head hit the concrete. I had a concussion and passed out a couple of times. I hit the ground pretty hard I can barely remember most of it. I was wearing a helmet fortunately and it did save my life. So "cliche" I know but it did. That and my wife just happened to be on her way down my commuting route to drop our son off at daycare and called an ambulance. You never know. Live every day as if it was your last. Good luck with your collar bone PDR and I hope your not in any severe pain.

Get well soon PDR! I suffered a wrist sprain a couple of years ago (on a singlespeed mountain bike, probably serves me right as I was not on my folder) and it acts up every now and then.I don't think it has fully healed yet. Let's hope you heal much faster than me :)
