New Xootr Swift
I thought I wanted an Airnimal - we live in the Middle East, close to all kinds of places we have visited and thought about riding bikes, but airlines now charge so much for bike transport that we thought a couple of folders would be a great idea
We didn't need the smallest fold - we'd be folding just for airlines and trains on overseas trips rather than 4 times a day for commuting - and the Airnimal or a Bike Friday would fit the need
On trying the Xootr, it rode as well as the more expensive alternatives, so we bought one with the idea of trying it out for a few hundred miles and, if it seemed good, getting another for the two of us to have matched machines. So far, we love it!
Pictures of the build, and the Xootr alongside my best bike. I'm very pleased with it so far!

Peter Reich also ships internationally—whole bike, customised, or just the frame.

Not sure we'll be doing much upgrading, as we're both very happy on our main bikes and the Xootrs (plural, as I can forsee the matched pair very soon!) will be for occasional vacations.
However, there's a whim which might become a plan to do a supported trip on Xootrs from Calais (France) to the Mediterranean next May! So that might justify a wheel upgrade!
