Looking for a fat foldable 20" (406) road tire?

I just saw this at Jenson USA. Should fit Bike Friday NWTs as well as many of the other bikes that are often mentioned here.

I have only seen the Supreme once. It is tempting but a bit steep in price.

Lately, I have been using a 1.75" Primo Comet on the NWT which has been working out nicely. Unfortunately, it appears that size is no longer produced; I can find 1.5" and 1.9". I know that actual width can vary from the claimed size and given that I measure some extra clearance with the 1.75", it is tempting to test out the next size up.

I see them everyday ...lol
there is a whole lotta love going into that tire ( Supreme) But I am the first one to agree that the price is on the high side ( bordering on outrageous)

I mean I see the 35 dlr tires at walmart for a car as well....

difference is that the Schwalbe tire are made in very much lesser quantities and a lot of the stuff which is built in is handlabour , than they all get tested and re tested .... plus the engineering R&D is somewhat included in the price as well ....

Also let me say that if the tires wouldnt be as good as they are and the difference not noticable in the different price points I wouldnt touch them with a long pole ... You really get what you pay for ( again otherwise I wouldnt go out on a limb and buy 50 at a time and put them into my warehouse )

Good point. I'll keep that in mind as the Spring rolls around.

I didn't realize that Schwalbe tires are handmade. I have Marathon Racers on the recumbent and my wife's Bike Friday.

not entirely handmade
just that the top tires enjoy a lot more steps ( some handmade steps involved ) and crucial tests before they are released

I'm running a set of these on my R20 1.75 front and 1.85 in the rear. Several hundred miles and they ride smooth and still stick to the wet stuff.
https://www.danscomp.com/444184.php I paid about 10 bucks less at my LBS though.....

Yeah this looks like a nice one and plenty of clearance for it on a Dahon Mu frame.
